Gunslinger Character Sketch

Decided to draw a cowboy and see if I could apply anything I learned about anatomy to my drawings without using reference. Think the shoulders, chest area looks okay, but definitely needs work. I messed up on the hands though, badly, as well as the legs I think. Still working on drawing faces. Characters/everything in general. But I mean, that 'stache!

Marine vs Zergling

Been playing some Starcraft 2 lately, so I decided to draw a good ol' marine fighting off a zergling. This is my first drawing after about two weeks because I started a new full-time job. Trying to get back into the groove of things. Parts of the drawing are pretty broken and/or wrong, like his back leg and back arm. I also took liberties with the scales on the zergling. But I kinda like how it turned out. Silly zergling rushes.

JOKR - Halo 4 Spartan-IV

I spent over 5 hours on this lineart...(really slow). This is my spartan armour configuration from the videogame, Halo 4. I felt inspired to draw his ID card and see how much detail I could crank into the lineart. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I messed up a few details here and there, but I'm calling it done. Polar Scout Sketch

A polar scout/wanderer concept I had in my head, just decided to sketch it out. Post apocalypse in the polar wastes, who wouldn't want to ride a polar bear?

Male Torso Anatomy Study #1

I decided that I should start to observe some anatomy more closely, as well as faces. These were some drawings I did based on reference I found on google images while searching up 'abs' and 'wrestlers'. Just working on trying to get some body/facial anatomy and proportions ingrained in my head. Tyler Durdan is my hero. I am Jack's insufficient drawing skills.

Gladiator Fatality

Spent over an hour on this (about a minute on the background), just messing with a lot of ideas. Perspective, foreshortening, composition, line quality/weight and some bad anatomy. It was 2am and I felt the urge to draw something overly violent. Gladiators and a midsection mishap came to mind. In hindsight, the poor chap really didn't have a fighting chance; I didn't even draw him a weapon!

Armoured Police Van Sketch

A quick armoured van sketch. Intent was to be part of a larger scene but I screwed up the rest. Just a quick doodle to practice some perspective (still failed on the wheels), but I think the riot control guy looks kinda neat.

Viking Character Sketches

Somewhere between character design and doodles, I drew up these vikings. I was just practicing different body shapes/sizes mostly, as well as trying to improve form and overall anatomy (failed in a few spots). But I enjoyed drawing each one of these guys. The megafat one cracks me up, he just sits there and plays paddleball. I even came up with a story for each one in my head, they are all sons of the viking with the sword, the 'king'.
